Job Title: Digital Database Architect

 

We are seeking an experienced Digital Database Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and a proven track record of ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure database infrastructure.

The Digital Database Architect will work closely with application teams to design, implement, and maintain databases that meet the needs of our business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Database Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement databases that support our applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize database performance to ensure seamless execution of critical business processes.
  • Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce best practices for database security, backup, and recovery to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor database metrics and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of database management systems, including MySQL and PostgreSQL. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 4-8 years of experience running MySQL/PostgreSQL databases in large environments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Awareness of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS/GCP.
  • Database Internals: In-depth knowledge of database internals, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
  • Loading Balancing: Knowledge of loading balancing solutions like ProxySQL to distribute database traffic efficiently.
