About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Legal Generalist Manager. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide a full range of legal advice and services to support our business operations in India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operations business units in Teva India through contracting and providing legal advice.
  • Provide legal support to Global Business Services unit for its agreements and employment law related queries.
  • Provide legal services to internal customers, including drafting contracts and formalizing terms of agreement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes.
  • Support Teva India Counsel in advising other business operations and matters from a legal perspective.
  • Travel to other sites within India as required.
  • Instruct and manage external law firms and counsel for ongoing litigation.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
  • Provide legal support to corporate governance matters.

Requirements

  • University degree in Law.
  • CS qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Solid and demonstrable post-qualification experience.
  • Mid-level commercial lawyer with at least 5-7 years of experience with business operations.
  • Solid commercial and contract law experience.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical devices or healthcare company is a big advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with Employee law related issues will be an added advantage.
