API Developer Position

We are seeking a skilled API Developer to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable APIs using the .NET Core framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of API development best practices, architectural principles, and integration techniques.

  • API Development
  • Design and develop scalable APIs using .NET Core.
  • Create endpoints, define routes, and implement data models.

  • Code Implementation
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C#.
  • Implement business logic, data access layers, validation rules, and error handling mechanisms.

  • API Integration
  • Integrate APIs with external systems, services, or databases.
  • Utilize technologies such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, or other relevant protocols.

  • Database Interaction
  • Interact with databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Design and execute database queries, implement ORM, and ensure data integrity and security.

  • Authentication and Authorization
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Use token-based authentication (e.g., JWT) and integrate with OAuth or OpenID Connect.

  • Performance Optimization
  • Optimize API performance by implementing caching mechanisms and optimizing database queries.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal response times and scalability.

  • Testing and Debugging
  • Write unit tests and perform comprehensive testing of APIs.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues, identify and fix bugs, and ensure proper error handling and logging.

  • API Documentation
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for APIs.
  • Provide clear documentation on endpoints, request/response structures, parameters, and error codes.

  • Versioning and Deployment
  • Manage API versioning for backward compatibility and smooth deployment of updates.
  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for efficient code management and deployment.

  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Communicate effectively to understand project goals, provide status updates, and address technical challenges.

Mandatory Skills
  • Strong experience with .NET Core framework.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language.
  • Knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and other API protocols.
  • Experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with token-based authentication (e.g., JWT) and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging APIs.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with ORM frameworks.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in API development.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
