Lead Data Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data analyst to join our team. As a lead data analyst, you will play a key role in driving business outcomes through data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of statistical methodologies, mathematical optimization, and machine learning, with expertise in designing and implementing advanced statistical models to drive data-driven decision-making.

Your primary responsibility will be to collect, process, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and inform business decisions. You will also develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to address complex business challenges.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through clear and effective data visualizations and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through data-driven decision making.
  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to address complex business challenges.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in data pipelines, machine learning models, and production systems to ensure seamless operation.
Requirements:
  • Master's or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Deep knowledge of statistical inference, vector calculus, linear algebra, and classical machine learning (especially decision trees, PCA, PLS, and Bayesian statistics).
  • 3+ years of experience in data science or machine learning environments that require the combined application of statistical and technical skills.
  • Excellent development skills in Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex statistical concepts into practical business applications.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with convex optimization.
  • Familiarity with Kaggle competitions or similar data science challenges.
