Treasury Specialist

Senior Analyst – Treasury is responsible for managing the organization's liquidity, foreign exchange exposures, and investments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize cash flows to ensure liquidity across geographies.
  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support automation initiatives such as host-to-host payments to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor FX exposures and execute hedging strategies in accordance with policy to minimize risk.
  • Calculate MTM valuations and prepare exposure reports to inform investment decisions.
  • Negotiate with banks on FX transactions and derivative instruments to secure favorable terms.
  • Evaluate and recommend investment options (fixed deposits, money markets, bonds, etc.) based on risk-return trade-offs.
  • Assess investment performance, P&L, and maintain investment registers to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with accounting and audit teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
  • Liaise with domestic and international banks for treasury operations to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Negotiate banking terms to reduce borrowing costs and optimize cash management.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and internal treasury policies to mitigate risk.
  • Prepare MIS, dashboards, and treasury reports for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury operations, including liquidity, FX, and investments.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, MS Excel, and treasury management systems.
  • Knowledge of hedging instruments, derivatives, and investment options.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills to drive effective partnerships.
  • Familiarity with RBI/FEMA compliance preferred to ensure regulatory adherence.
Qualifications:
  • MBA in Finance (CFA/FRM preferred) to demonstrate expertise in financial management.
  • 5+ years of relevant corporate treasury experience to provide a solid foundation in treasury operations.
  • Experience limited to banking roles will not be considered, as the role requires a broader perspective on treasury operations.
