Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reference Data Developer to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and improving software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimisation.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  3. Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and contribute to the organisation's technology communities.
  4. Stay informed of industry trends and innovations, and actively contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  5. Implement secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  6. Develop effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT experience, with expertise in GoldenSource, Java, and database technologies (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing reference data platforms using GoldenSource products.
  • Strong understanding of MDX, business rules, publishing, and UI in GS8.8, as well as database management systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS/GCP) and domain knowledge in fixed income, equities, and listed derivatives.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Python, Shell scripting, and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

This role will be based out of Pune and involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
