Epsilon Group is a leading industrial conglomerate driving the global carbon black and battery materials industry with a vision to decarbonize economies and support cleaner technologies. Established in 2010, the company has carved a niche for itself through its subsidiaries, Epsilon Carbon and Epsilon Advanced Materials.

The group operates India's first fully integrated carbon facility in Bellary, Karnataka, specializing in carbon black and specialized carbon derivatives with an annual capacity of 115,000 metric tons and 320,000 TPA, respectively, and poised for expansion with its Carbon Black phase-2 facility.

Job Overview:

This role involves strategic planning and development, project management, market analysis and competitive intelligence, corporate planning/development, innovation and growth initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and implement the company's strategic plan in alignment with business goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Corporate Planning/Development: Identify and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances, leading due diligence processes and negotiations.
  • Innovation and Growth Initiatives: Foster a culture of innovation within the organization to drive growth, overseeing the development of new products, services, and business models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and build support for strategic initiatives, communicating progress to various stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and business case creation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey insights to senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in tools like PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate and deliver results in ambiguous and fast-changing business environments.
  • Strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail and commercial implications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BE | BTech in Chemical Engineering.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc.).
  • 15 to 17 years of experience in strategic roles within the chemical or allied sectors.
  • Prior exposure to business development, corporate planning, or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in techno-commercial functions is a strong advantage.
