  • Sourcing iron ore from miners, traders, and suppliers requires a deep understanding of global market trends.
  • Negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors is crucial for our business success.
  • Coordinating logistics including rake allotment, port operations, warehousing, and shipping ensures timely deliveries.
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with MMDR Act, DGFT policies, Goan mining regulations, and other export/import norms is essential.
  • Staying up-to-date with global and domestic market trends (Platts, Metal Bulletin, etc.) supports pricing and strategy.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation including LCs, Bank Guarantees, contracts, and customs paperwork is critical.
  • Providing management with timely updates on trade performance and preparing MIS reports monitors trade P&L.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should have a degree in any field.
  • 5–10 years of proven experience in iron ore trading and procurement is required.
  • Detailed understanding of iron ore grades (Fe%), lumps, fines, and pellets is necessary.
  • Knowledge of mining operations, beneficiation, and logistics is essential.
  • Familiarity with Goan mining regulations and clearances is required.
