Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our observability platform. As an Observability Engineer, you will drive the strategic direction of observability across the organization, ensuring that our systems are instrumented for comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement a comprehensive observability strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and technical landscape.
  • Establish clear objectives, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of observability initiatives.
  • Evangelize the importance of observability and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Design and architect a scalable and resilient observability platform that can handle large volumes of data from diverse sources.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure consistent and comprehensive instrumentation across all systems.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles with a focus on observability.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale observability platforms.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Expertise in observability tools and technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, and similar.
