Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team at Version 1. As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to support various applications and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Architects to align the platform's architecture with company objectives.
  • Establish best practices for infrastructure as code (IAC) implementation and automation.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment.
  • Ensure robust security practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, networking, and application deployments.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of Experience and proven track record of delivering Platform engineering or cloud infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and security practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
