Project Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the day-to-day tasks of a small team, adhering to the scope, schedule, and requirements of the project.

The ideal candidate will own the successful delivery of project deliverables while ensuring business value meets customer expectations. They will create and maintain PMO artifacts such as the project plan and JIRA board to ensure on-time completion of project tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Management: Ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations and business value.
  • Project Planning: Create and maintain PMO artifacts, including the project plan and JIRA board.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Track risks and issues, facilitate problem resolution, and manage communication and escalation of issues in a timely manner.
  • Status Reporting: Provide project status reports and debriefs to company leadership on a weekly basis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Oracle product teams, developers, testers, and project managers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Project Manager preferably in the Utilities domain.
  • Industry Knowledge: Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in the utilities (water, gas, electric) industry.
  • Methodologies: Knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall and agile).
  • Tools: Experienced in leading projects utilizing standard project management tools (MS project, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills comfortable providing project updates to senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, promote effective communication, resolve conflict, and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and a keen interest in delivering high-quality deliverables.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
