The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, and maintain secure databases on cloud and on-prem platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the high availability of database tiers while providing excellent customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy DBMS installations
  • Monitor database performance and resolve issues
  • Migrate databases across cloud and on-prem platforms with minimal downtime
  • Provide guidance and support to developers on design, code review, and SQL query performance tuning
  • HA/DR setup, replication, database encryption, index and filegroup management
  • Regularly liaise with on-shore and off-shore teams

Requirements:

For this position, we require a candidate with 6-8 years of experience in database administration or development. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is also necessary. In addition, proficiency in working knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, along with experience in developing migration plans to migrate on-premises databases to Cloud (AWS/Azure), is essential.
