Mongo DB Administration Opportunity

The primary function of this position is to administer and maintain a robust MongoDB infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and maintain MongoDB/Atlas databases, ensuring maximum availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement sharding and indexing strategies to optimize database operations.
  • Configure and monitor replica sets to ensure high uptime and data redundancy.
  • Perform regular patch upgrades to keep the system up-to-date.
  • Design and build operational infrastructure to support databases, automating processes where possible.
  • Establish and enforce database security procedures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Create and manage user accounts, assign roles, and control access permissions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and standards, providing expert advice to stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional support to users through incident management tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in MongoDB administration, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB architecture, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing sharding and indexing strategies.
  • Familiarity with replica sets configuration and monitoring.
  • Ability to perform regular patch upgrades and maintain system updates.
  • Experience in building operational infrastructure to support databases, including automation.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
