**Job Opportunity:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Financial Operations Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to expand their skills and take on new challenges.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain accurate financial records by processing transactions and preparing journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Daily management of the accounting inbox.
  • Code vendor invoices and schedule payments using BILL, an intelligent accounts payable platform.
  • Review payroll reports from our payroll provider and prepare journal entries.
  • Process and record bank transactions.
  • Manage customer invoicing and payments applications.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations such as cash, prepaid, accruals, capital assets, deferred revenue, and more.
  • Understand and project cash timing differences between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Analyze general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other data using Excel files.
  • Respond to questions from employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Support the annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes.
  • Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a similar field with 2-3 years' experience. Public accounting experience is a plus. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is highly preferred.

**Essential Skills:**

  • Knowledge of and experience applying US GAAP principles.
  • Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ZOHO, or similar systems is preferred.
