We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead our data-driven initiatives and spearhead the development of our data strategy.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in designing and implementing data architectures, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, establishing connections between stakeholders, and developing features in our existing data warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data architecture models and paradigms, including Kimball, Inmon, Data Marts, Data Vault, and Medallion. They should also have expertise in cloud-based data strategies, big data technologies, and data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, and Prefect.

  • Design and develop features in our existing Data Warehouse.
  • Establish connections between Engineering, Product, and Analytics/Data Scientists teams.
  • Implement, update, and design batch ETL pipelines.
  • Define and implement data architecture.
  • Partner with Engineers and Data Analysts to build reliable datasets.

The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and models.
  • Solid expertise in data modeling paradigms (Kimball, Inmon, Data Marts, Data Vault, Medallion).
  • Experience with cloud-based data strategies and big data technologies – AWS Preferred.
  • Expertise in designing data pipelines for ETL, ingestion, transformation, and data quality.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL and PostgreSQL development, query optimization, and designing indexes.
  • Understanding of advanced SQL concepts and statistical concepts through SQL.
  • Experience with PostGIS and writing ETL pipelines combining Python + SQL.
  • Knowledge of data manipulation libraries in Python (Pandas, Polars, DuckDB) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
