Enterprise Database Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our global technology team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing enterprise-level Oracle database environments.

  • Design and implement high-availability Oracle environments using Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
  • Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata systems, including patching, monitoring, resource management, and performance tuning.
  • Lead Oracle database migrations to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure), including backup and disaster recovery strategy planning.
  • Perform advanced SQL and database performance tuning, query optimization, and system diagnostics.
  • Plan and execute patching and upgrade activities, including major version upgrades.
  • Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with corporate standards and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires a proactive leader with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, capable of working in high-availability and mission-critical environments across on-premises and cloud.

  • 15+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with: Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata, Oracle ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Cloud platforms (preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS, or Azure SQL), Performance tuning (AWR, ASH, SQL Plan Baselines, SQL Profiles), PL/SQL development and automation scripting, UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
