About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Client team to manage daily activities, improve employee productivity, and process payroll for designated clients. Responsibilities include training new employees and clients on payroll procedures, software, company practices, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process US payroll for designated clients and serve as backup for payroll processors.
- Train new employees and clients on payroll procedures, software, company practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures.
- Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Work with AP and taxes to process current year voids.
- Address payroll-related queries and requests.
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Follow and enforce federal, state, and local laws.
- Participate in hiring process.
- Thorough understanding of client PTO configuration and rules to ensure system functionality and proper PTO tracking.
- Review client data for accuracy prior to import to ensure file is not rejected.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated and professional with strong organizational skills.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting concrete deadlines.
- Strong ability to work effectively with internal and external employees with diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills with adaptability to message audience.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of payroll experience.
- 4+ years of PEO, ASO, multi-site or multi-state payroll experience.
- Experience with Prism and HR Pyramid preferred.
Estimated Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year.
