Job Title: IT Monitoring Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled IT monitoring expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and utilize your expertise in IT monitoring and observability platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer and manage IT monitoring tools, focusing on ScienceLogic SL1.
  2. Configure and customize SL1 architecture, collectors, and PowerPacks to meet business requirements.
  3. Design and implement event policies and escalation rules to optimize alerting and reduce noise.
  4. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in SL1 to provide insights into system performance.
  5. Integrate SL1 with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools to streamline incident management.
  6. Tune alerts and notifications to minimize false positives and maximize system uptime.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT monitoring and observability.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT monitoring/observability platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SL1 architecture, collectors, and PowerPacks.
  • Experience with SNMP, WMI, SSH, API-based data collection.
  • Hands-on scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem).
  • Knowledge of MariaDB troubleshooting and fixes.
