Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade cloud-native infrastructure using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise in AKS architecture and automation, as well as strategic direction on AKS adoption, DevOps tooling, and cloud-native best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • • Define the end-to-end architecture for AKS-based workloads in Azure.

  • • Design multi-environment, multi-region AKS architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.

  • • Establish best practices for container orchestration, scaling, and governance in AKS.

  • • Advise on cost optimization strategies for AKS and related Azure resources.

  • • Architect and provision AKS clusters with features like cluster and node pool autoscaling, private cluster configuration, network isolation using Azure CNI/Kubenet, managed identities, and Azure AD integration.

  • • Integrate AKS with supporting Azure services including Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus & Grafana, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Key Vault.

  • • Design Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for AKS provisioning.

  • • Implement GitOps workflows for automated deployments using ArgoCD, Flux, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

  • • Define CI/CD architecture using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for AKS workloads.

  • • Architect RBAC and Azure AD security models for AKS access.

  • • Integrate security scanning for container images and Kubernetes workloads.

  • • Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks and governance policies.

  • • Architect observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Managed Prometheus, Container Insights, and Grafana.

  • • Establish automated alerting, anomaly detection, and incident response playbooks.

Requirements

  • • 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or related roles.

  • • 5+ years hands-on Azure experience with deep AKS expertise.

  • • Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes architecture and troubleshooting, Azure networking (VNet, NSG, Private Link), IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), container security and governance.

  • • Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective AKS solutions.

  • • Experience with service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd, OSM) and multi-cluster management tools (Azure Arc, Fleet) is preferred.

  • • Familiarity with workload migration to AKS is also desirable.

  • • Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences are required.

  • • Ability to lead design workshops and architecture reviews is essential.

  • • Strategic problem-solving skills with hands-on implementation abilities are necessary.
