Backend Systems Developer

We are seeking an experienced professional to build and scale our FastAPI backend, designing workflow orchestration pipelines and implementing memory and context systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend infrastructure using Python/FastAPI.
  • Develop workflow orchestration pipelines with Temporal or similar.
  • Manage authentication, user integrations, and secure credential handling.
  • Implement robust error handling for internal reasoning and external API/tool failures.
  • Own deployment, monitoring, and scaling of backend infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Strong backend experience with Python/FastAPI.
  • Proven ability to design workflow orchestration and agent systems.
  • Experience with context management, prompt engineering, and AI-engineering (about 1-2 years of experience with AI and agents).
  • Knowledge of Postgres and vector databases.
  • Ability to build systems for multi-step planning, minimal hallucination, and graceful error recovery.
  • Familiarity with multi-agent architectures and dynamic workflow generation (functional programming approaches).
