Job Title: Data Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Data Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of database platforms, including AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, MySQL, and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization.
  • Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements.
  • Provide expert-level support for AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, and MySQL databases.
  • Troubleshoot issues with AWS Services and DB/Server.
  • Maintain environment performance by monitoring system performance and performing system analysis and tuning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of data.
  • Work closely with architecture teams to deliver and advocate for optimal system architecture and performance.
  • Support day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development.
  • Experience in Snowflake, SQL, Performance Tuning, Linux Shell Scripting, or Python is highly desirable.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance and security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in System, platform, and AWS cloud administration.
  • 4 years of experience in Database administration using latest AWS technologies.
  • 2 years of Snowflake administration experience.
  • Experience with Agile software development using JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, securing and hardening Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, and Applications.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), query performance tuning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
