Senior Data Engineering Lead

Job Overview:

As a seasoned data engineering professional, you will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge data platforms that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate a clear data platform vision to stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives and solve complex problems.
  • Design end-to-end data pipelines leveraging cloud-native services such as AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker.
  • Implement data product storage, processing, and APIs using serverless architectures.
  • Apply fine-grained access control and secure data sharing across domains using AWS Lake Formation.
  • Architect multi-tenant, domain-oriented data lakes and integrate with Redshift Spectrum / Athena for distributed querying.
  • Drive platform governance, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, big data, and analytics ecosystem (Airflow, Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
