Platform Architect Role

As a data platform architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data systems that support business growth. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in data architecture, engineering, and operations.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities. Your expertise will drive the evolution of our data platforms, enabling seamless end-to-end transformation from raw data to insightful data products shared across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL and other data processing tools.
  • Work closely with data product teams to understand their requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions of the data platform, promoting domain-oriented decentralized data ownership and architecture.
  • Participate in continuous learning and training to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data platform development.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of projects.
  • Ensure data governance and security best practices are implemented throughout the data platform.
  • Develop relationships and processes with finance, sales, business operations, Analytics, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with Agile and DevOps practices to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Experience with FinOps is an added advantage.

Requirements:

  • A Graduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with 4-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in ETL, data processing using SQL.
  • Extensive experience working in the Databricks environment.
  • Proven experience in data warehousing, data modeling, data architecture, and building data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platform - Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with other big data technologies and tools.
