Job Overview

TDK Electronics seeks a skilled Research and Development Specialist to lead the product lifecycle, from ideation to validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design products based on design rules, providing technical support to production and quality teams.
  • Perform design calculations, simulations, and analysis based on design guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
  • Lead product development, ensuring products meet quality standards and market needs.
  • Prepare design documentation as per new product development procedures.
  • Responsible for characterization and approval of new material approvals.
  • Support operations for handling quality issues related to raw materials.
  • Adhere to change management processes as defined by company guidelines.
  • Address customer requirements from automotive industries and find new or alternate material suppliers.
  • Handle audits and their requirements, such as UL, VDE, CQC, BIS, and IATF.
  • Provide technical support to the Quality department.
  • Experience with PPAP documentation and responsible for RCA with head of quality tools DFMEA.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of product design principles and engineering practices.
  • Proficient in design software and tools, including CAD and simulation programs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across departments.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality products and meeting project deadlines.
