Experienced Oracle DBA Required

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining and ensuring high performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution, as well as experience working in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and configuring Oracle Exadata systems
  • Maintaining continuous communications with clients in a consultative approach
  • Administering and optimizing Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand)
  • Managing Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup and recovery
  • Leading end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI
  • Designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate)
  • Monitoring and tuning performance using AWR, ASH, OEM and SQL tuning tools
  • Automating database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
  • Collaborating with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM and Grid Infrastructure
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred
  • Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired

Bonus points for experience automating database management tasks using scripting or orchestration tools.
