  • Performance Optimization & Tuning:

    • Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks affecting application API performance.
    • Tune SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal response times.
    • Implement best practices for connection pooling, partitioning, and caching strategies.

  • Application Integration Support:

    • Collaborate with API Gateway and custom orchestration teams to optimize database interaction patterns.
    • Support GET POST transaction flows from APIs into Oracle.
    • Ensure efficient database design for web applications with high concurrency and SLA targets.

  • Integration and Replication:

    • Manage data synchronization between on-prem Oracle and Fusion Cloud Oracle DB via OIC.
    • Implement and support Pub/Sub mechanisms for customer data exchange.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot replication data transfer issues.

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Proactively monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics (AWR, ASH, ADDM).
    • Provide root cause analysis and resolution for performance incidents.
    • Partner with infrastructure DBAs for patching backups disaster recovery capacity planning.
    • Develop and maintain documentation standards and runbooks for application database operations.
