Job Title: Oracle Performance Specialist

About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring optimal database performance and efficiency, supporting various re-platforming efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle architecture, PL/SQL programming skills, and experience in performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing database operations, including performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, access management, and data analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve performance issues, optimize SQL queries and indexes, and implement data loading scripts for Golden Gate data replication.
  • Develop expertise in Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c/Exadata capabilities and functionality, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts on schema design, table creation, function development, view creation, stored procedure implementation, and role management.
  • Coordinate with the automation team for scheduling AWA/RMJ jobs on multiple databases.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience, including Oracle Exadata experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Strong communication and self-motivation skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
