Job Description

This Category Specialist position will involve working across various categories, requiring a broad range of category knowledge and dynamic collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs). Responsibilities include spot buy negotiations, compliance checks, and maintaining a thorough understanding of client processes and policies.

  • Spot Buy Negotiations: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Compliance Checks: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Category Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of category dynamics, market trends, and supplier capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A graduate degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in procurement and sourcing, preferably in a similar role.
  • Effective probing skills and analyzing/understanding skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written English and ability to work on a flexible schedule.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic Excel and PPT skills.
