Gas Turbine R&D Engineer

As a skilled engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing Gas Turbine components to meet robust design requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in creating innovative solutions that balance cost-effectiveness with performance.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in product development and service environments. You will work closely with FEA analysts, HT engineers, and Aero-designers to finalize design concepts and technical specifications.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing combustion liners, nozzles, transition ducts, fuel piping systems, exit diffusers, and casing components.
  • Applying robust design methods, including tolerance stack up analysis, GD&T, and standards.
  • Developing and finalizing design concepts, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Checking engineering drawings and bills of materials for Gas Turbine components.
  • Implementing innovative design solutions and controlling risk through appropriate methods like FMEA and QFD.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in an engineering organization.
  • Experience in Gas Turbine combustion component design is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design principles, strength of materials, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Knowledge of Gas turbine combustion principles, thermo-acoustics, and aero-design principles is advantageous.
