The role of Mortgage Underwriter is a critical position in our organization.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Mortgage Underwriter. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the mortgage industry and be able to evaluate loan applications with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate mortgage loan applications and determine creditworthiness;
- Conduct credit report reviews and assess risk factors;
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless loan processing;
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills;
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of the 4Cs (credit, capacity, capital, and collateral) and asset calculations.
Requirements- 4-7 years of experience in mortgage underwriting;
- Strong understanding of the 4Cs (credit, capacity, capital, and collateral) and asset calculations;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills;
