Cybersecurity Sales Director

Job Description:

The Cybersecurity Sales Director will lead and drive the sales strategy for cybersecurity products and services in a high-growth market. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key clients, developing strategic sales plans, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets for cybersecurity products and services.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including CISOs, CTOs, and other decision-makers, to promote cybersecurity solutions.
  • Pipeline Management: Own the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to deal closure, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify client needs, assess competitor activities, and align solutions with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Solution Positioning: Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design and present tailored cybersecurity solutions, demonstrating strong technical acumen to articulate complex solutions effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management, and technical teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and customer needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in cybersecurity sales or IT solution sales within India.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment, preferably with a cybersecurity OEM or system integrator.

Technical Knowledge:

You should have a strong understanding of:

  • Cybersecurity technologies, including NGFWs, SIEM, cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and emerging technologies like AI-driven threat detection and zero trust frameworks.
  • Industry frameworks such as NIST, CERT-In, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27001.
