Job Title:

Tech Lead – WebSphere Portal, JBoss, Struts

About this Role:

As a seasoned Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization and decoupling of legacy enterprise portals and web applications. Your expertise in WebSphere Portal and JBoss-based application separation activities will be instrumental in driving business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical planning, design, and execution of WebSphere Portal and JBoss-based application separation activities to ensure seamless transition and optimal results.
  • Struts Migration: Refactor and migrate Struts-based web applications to new deployment environments, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to transition workloads from shared to entity-specific hosting.
  • Deployment and Configuration: Manage deployment and configuration of WebSphere and JBoss across multiple environments.
  • Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot performance and integration issues, and provide hands-on support in resolving production incidents.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure secure, role-based access control, data partitioning, and user experience continuity during and after separation.

Requirements:

  • Enterprise Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development and platform support.
  • WebSphere Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Portal Server.
  • JBoss and Struts Knowledge: Strong experience with JBoss Application Server and Struts Framework.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership in managing full-stack teams and delivering legacy modernization or platform decoupling initiatives.
