Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Network Team Lead. This position requires around 6-8 years of experience in data center networking, with 1-3 years specifically focused on Software Defined Networking (SDN) within a private cloud & virtualization domain.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining the equipment required to provide Cloud Network Infrastructure, including physical and SDN network framework.
  2. Ensuring high levels of availability, flexibility, and network performance, while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  3. Maintaining and updating infrastructure documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Collaborating with clients and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.
  5. Overseeing a team of Network Engineers, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  6. Monitoring and analyzing key performance and capacity metrics to assess risks and business impact.
  7. Preparing and delivering solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
  8. Managing technical validation activities, including Proof of Concept.

Requirements

This is an advanced technical role requiring both hands-on expertise and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in Data Center networking, strong understanding of L2/L3 technologies, and ability to provide mentorship and technical guidance.

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer, etc.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies (GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, etc.), Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies), Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q), QoS, and Network monitoring Protocols & Tools.
  • Familiarity with SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN providers – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco, etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex problems quickly.
  • Highly motivated individual who can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and stay up-to-date with emerging trends.
  • Experience leading a team of minimum 4 people in this role.
