Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Expert with over 6 years of expertise in designing mechanical solutions for hyperscale data centers.

  • Cooling System Leadership:

    Design innovative cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers, including chilled water systems, direct expansion (DX) systems, air and liquid cooling technologies, and alternative cooling methods.

  • Thermal Load Analysis:

    Perform detailed thermal load analysis to assess heat generation and distribution within the data center, recommending cooling strategies that meet capacity and redundancy requirements.

  • Collaboration and Integration:

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, to integrate cooling solutions with other building and data center systems.

  • Sustainability and Efficiency:

    Design and implement sustainable and energy-efficient cooling systems, with a focus on minimizing energy consumption and the carbon footprint of data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and optimize cooling infrastructure for data centers to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels, ensuring efficient performance, system reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

  2. Select and specify cooling equipment, components, and materials, considering energy efficiency, scalability, and system integration.

  3. Coordinate with vendors for product selection and integration of equipment's in overall master design

  4. Prepare heat load calculation, power usage effectiveness calculations (PUE), technical specifications, and schematics for tendering.

  5. Perform post-installation audits and troubleshooting, resolving any cooling system issues that may arise.

  6. Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for further optimization or maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, building services, energy systems, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and engineering of cooling systems for large-scale, hyperscale data centers or mission-critical facilities.

  • Skills and Competencies:

    Proficiency in cooling system design software (e.g., CFD modeling tools, Trane Trace 700, Carrier HAP, etc.).
