Based on our strategic expansion into high-performance sportswear, we are looking for a dedicated Garment Merchant to manage the end-to-end merchandising process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of garment manufacturing, production timelines, and buyer communication. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the key point of contact between buyers and internal teams
  • Understanding buyer requirements, developing samples, and ensuring timely approvals
  • Preparing and managing Time and Action (TNA) calendars for each order
  • Following up on raw material sourcing, production schedules, and quality parameters
  • Coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of trims and fabrics
  • Monitoring order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to avoid delays
  • Preparing costing sheets and negotiating prices with buyers and suppliers
  • Managing buyer communications regarding order updates, changes, and queries
  • Conducting market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations
  • Maintaining all merchandising records, reports, and documentation accurately
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and buyer compliance requirements

Preferred skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems
  • Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
