Job Title: Product Launch Director

Role Overview:

The Product Launch Director will lead the product launch team, overseeing all aspects of product launches for various segments.

This role will support project management and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

  • Partner with regional leaders and key functions to ensure adherence to product launch milestones.
  • Drive excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
  • Collaborate with regional heads to deliver accurate data on product launch timelines and replenishment plans.
  • Lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
  • Provide inputs for portfolio decisions, identifying dependencies and implications.
  • Implement best practices in product launch management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
  • Facilitate alignment and accountability within regional and corporate functions to meet business goals.
  • Manage product launch calendars, optimize governance processes, and partner with senior management as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication of launch status across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain integrated launch plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders within and outside the company.
  • Foster talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
  • Oversee a team of planners and launch managers.
  • Have a strong understanding of commercial operations in Europe and emerging markets.
  • Provide insights on customer preferences and product potential in the European market.
  • Assess go-to-market strategies and support local teams in customer profiling, target setting, and channel planning.
  • Manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of new product launches, from demand generation to supply planning.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • 20+ years in planning, product launch, or a related role in the industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
  • Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at driving decisions and solving issues within an organization.
