Job Title

Job Summary:

This is a pivotal role where you will collaborate closely with our commercial and procurement teams to achieve business objectives. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless coordination between these departments, fostering a harmonious working environment.

  • You will be responsible for providing cost-effective solutions to our internal customers, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from point of purchase to point of destination.
  • Analysis of data will be key in providing the best freight costs by referring to available cost sheets for air & sea movements.
  • Calculating freight costs for general cargo & DG items/goods using DG calculation guidelines will also be part of your responsibilities.
  • Awareness of external influences like government legislation, fuel costs, etc. is essential for this role.

Main Accountabilities:

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely responses to internal customers on freight costs and related queries.
  • Liaising with the reporting manager to address any challenges faced by the freight team.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality services.
  • Maintaining high standards of communication, documentation, and database management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Vocational or professional qualifications relevant to the industry.
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (or equivalent software packages).
