Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end procurement of electrical items. This role involves sourcing high-quality products at optimal prices, ensuring timely deliveries, and meeting technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiation: Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Technical Understanding: Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits for quality assurance.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 3–4 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication; strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
