Order Management System Specialist

This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in implementing, customizing, and developing Order Management Systems. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of software configurations, customization, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of Order Management Systems, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
  • Configure and customize software to meet specific client needs, including menu layouts, pricing, promotions, and integrations with other systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of Order Management Systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software, providing timely and effective support to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration of Order Management Systems with other systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Order Management System functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of the system.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services.
  • Minimum 2 years' development experience in XML and DOM parser.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of order management and store systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of testing enhancement.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and security standards for point-of-sale systems.
