Electrical Design Lead

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Lead to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading the design, selection, and sizing of motors, drives, and motion systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles. Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for industrial automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, particularly with B&R and Siemens PLCs.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
