Tata Electronics is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

The company is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry that will produce chips for various applications.

This facility addresses the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Digital/IT team to design and develop Yield Management software and Database
  • Designing and creating Data Integration framework that collects data from different sources
  • Developing algorithms for data analysis to enable root cause understanding and yield optimization
  • Collaborating with PI/YE, CFM teams and vendors to enable continuous system improvements
  • Automation & Reporting: Generating Automated yield reports
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with Product Engineering and Process Integration teams to get requirements to build the software to support yield management
  • System Maintenance & Scalability: Ensuring reliability and scalability of the software for high volume data
  • Presenting updates to internal and customer senior executives
  • Travel as required

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent; Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in data analysis, failure/defect analysis and yield improvement
  • Strong understanding of device physics, process integration, yield improvement, failure mechanisms
  • Ability to write basic code (eg. Python, C++)
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques and data visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with operations dashboards
  • Familiarity with process modules and metrology/defect inspection tools
  • Familiarity with AI/ML basics
  • Innovation mindset

Desired experience level:

  • 5+ years' experience in the semiconductor industry with specific experience in E-test / Wafer Sort
  • Proven structured problem-solving skills using 8D and other methods
  • Has programmed and managed E-test systems
