Job Opportunity:

A Software Quality Assurance Specialist is required to manage and work on a project-by-project basis for product/solution testing.

The role involves monitoring every phase of the software development process to ensure quality and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends in testing tools and automation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for ensuring products comply with requirements, assessing risks, planning, and executing tests, and analyzing test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team to test applications from high-stakes engineering software solutions to control and monitor high-end software control systems.
  • Execute project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, high-paced engineering environment.
  • Interface with internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress.
  • Drive improvements in software quality practices.
  • Oversee and direct the development of new test frameworks and applications to ensure manual and automated test solutions.
  • Contribute to test process, tools, and methodologies for both manual and automated test execution.
  • Interpret requirements for testability and ensure coverage in test case design.
  • Present test plans to leads and product owners for approval prior to execution.
  • Work closely with scrum teams to drive, implement, and maintain tests in an agile environment.
  • Assess impact of design changes to determine optimal testing levels.
  • Develop methods and perform load and performance testing.
  • Integrate testing with continuous-integration processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems systematically and effectively to identify failure mechanisms.
  • Ensure proper analysis and documentation of test results.
  • Actively participate in team retrospectives to recommend and implement improvements to test strategy and planning.
  • Maintain excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • E nsure all testing deliverables are of high quality and compliant.
  • Experience with bug management tools like JIRA.
  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Stay current on best practices, learn new test and automation techniques, and support other team members through continuing education and training.
  • Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation) and Agile ceremonies related to the Agile framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in requirements analysis, design reviews, code reviews, deploying, and maintaining the product/tool.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies, testing best practices, and ensure high-quality test code.
