Senior SDET Role Overview

Our quality assurance team seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to write and maintain both UI and backend automation tests. You will use tools like Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, TestNG, and Cucumber for automation testing.

The ideal candidate has strong technical problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of software testing processes, and can unblock themselves and peers. As a Senior SDET, you will mentor junior team members, ensure best practices in testing, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

  • Design and implement automated tests for UI and backend using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Postman, and Cucumber frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

API testing involves writing automated API tests using RestAssured and Postman. Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments. Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios.

Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) involve integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring tests are executed as part of build and deployment processes. Participate in Agile ceremonies and work in an iterative environment.

Solve complex issues independently and debug, isolate, and fix issues in test code and application code. Experience with performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks is required.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables. Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements.
