Job Description

The Systems Architect – Supply Chain is responsible for leading the development and implementation of integrated SAP and non-SAP solutions that support global procurement, planning, inventory, and quality management processes.

This role requires hands-on expertise in core supply chain processes, a strong understanding of MRP and planning logic, experience with cloud-based planning tools such as SAP IBP, and the ability to guide technical teams to deliver tailored automation solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting global SAP supply chain solution implementations across end-to-end procurement, planning, and inventory processes
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements that add measurable business value
  • Conducting fit-gap analysis and architecting functional and technical solutions that promote global standards, integration, and automation
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed solution design documentation and functional specifications
  • Configuring and supporting SAP modules including MM, QM, PP, and IM; designing custom solutions for procurement, subcontracting, inter-company transactions, and production planning
  • Architecting automated solutions involving ABAP enhancements, user exits, custom reports, movement types, and forms
  • Managing inbound goods planning, procurement-related master data, vendor portal integration, and lifecycle management
  • Leading the implementation and support of MRP, demand/supply planning logic, and custom reporting
  • Integrating SAP ECC with SAP IBP and other cloud-based or external planning tools
  • Monitoring batch jobs, interfaces, process chains, and ensuring system stability across planning and inventory functions
  • Leading system testing cycles and user acceptance testing; overseeing smooth deployment of solution changes into production
  • Working with supply chain stakeholders to plan road maps for 6-12 months and planning resources accordingly
  • Guiding and mentoring the Solution Engineer – Supply Chain on daily tasks, architecture alignment, and delivery timelines
  • Responding to service requests efficiently and providing timely communication to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with development teams on solution implementation, ensuring alignment to system architecture, scalability, and performance
  • Executing responsibilities in special projects, adhering to timelines, and escalating risks as needed
  • Leveraging existing tools and knowledge assets to reduce duplication and accelerate delivery of robust solutions
  • FOLLOWING prescribed Solution Manager processes and maintaining full documentation lifecycle (CC, FS, TS)
  • Leveraging and deploying Generative AI-assisted data analytics and applying logical constructs to custom programming steps to design efficient, scalable business solutions with minimal reliance on development resources
