Merchandising Role Overview

This role focuses on overseeing the entire process of getting leather products from design to delivery.

  • Manage orders from initial inquiries to final shipment ensuring timely and efficient production coordination.
  • Sourcing and procurement of materials, components, and accessories in line with production requirements.
  • Production monitoring including progress tracking, issue identification, and effective communication with buyers and suppliers.
  • Maintenance of accurate records of orders, materials, production processes, and shipping details for seamless operations.
  • Product development assistance encompassing material sourcing, costing, and sampling to meet customer demands.
  • Inventory management including stock optimization, waste minimization, and sales forecasting for informed decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve order fulfillment rates, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive productivity improvements, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement process enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, and internal stakeholders through open communication, negotiation skills, and relationship building abilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in merchandising or a related field.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, and relationship building abilities to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as ERP systems, and understanding of leather manufacturing processes to optimize operations.
  • Familiarity with different types of leather, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and excellence.
