A Production Merchandiser Role

About the Job:

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a skilled production merchandiser to join our team. As a production merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing product development, sourcing, supplier management, logistics coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and reviewing product specifications, including material sourcing and supplier negotiations
  • Ensuring all raw materials and internal/external production teams are aligned for timely delivery
  • Negotiating with suppliers on costing to achieve best pricing without compromising quality and timelines
Product Development:
  • Evaluating pre-development samples and making necessary adjustments
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors for fabric, trims, and accessories
Sourcing and Logistics:
  • Managing bill of materials for bulk orders and production runs
  • Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and production services
Quality Control:
  • Implementing quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards
  • Conducting inspections and testing of materials and finished products
Reporting and Coordination:
  • Collaborating with design, production, procurement, and category teams
  • Maintaining detailed logs and updates for fabric, trims, and accessories development and procurement
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of experience in PD, buying, merchandising, and production roles
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and factory supplier base
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
