Production Merchandiser Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Merchandiser to manage product development, sourcing, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage product development from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and timely production as per design specifications.
  • Ensure alignment between raw materials, job workers, internal, and external production teams for timely delivery of production.
Product Development:
  • Develop, evaluate, and present pre-development samples to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability standards.
Cost Optimization:
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on costing to achieve best pricing without compromising on quality or timelines.
  • Identify alternative solutions and suppliers to optimize costs without sacrificing quality or timeliness.
Sourcing and Logistics:
  • Create bills of material for bulk orders and production runs.
  • Source, develop, and manage raw materials, trims, and accessories strategically.
Supplier Management:
  • Identify and work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and production services effectively.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Coordinate with various teams (Design, Production, Procurement, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed logs and updates for fabric, trims, and accessories development and procurement progress.

Qualifications: 4 - 5 years of experience in PD, buying, merchandising, and production. Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and the factory supplier base is essential.
