About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team at AXA XL. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for handling claims for all lines of business, providing prompt and efficient service to clients, and meeting company objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client servicing, liaison with underwriters, and reporting to management.
  • Manage the adjustment of reinsurance and insurance claims up to given handling and settlement authority.
  • Negotiate and liaise with insureds, brokers, cedants, loss adjusters, and other service providers to deliver prompt and fair claims service.
  • Claims administration, including process claims advices & settlements, liaise with accounts department on payments, ensure claims are entered onto system correctly and in a timely manner, and prepare reports for management.
  • Maintain and diarize tasks to ensure claims are kept updated, dealt with efficiently, timely, and in accordance with corporate objectives and targets.
  • Ensure claims are handled in line with claims handling procedures.
  • Provide accurate reports or figures to Underwriters for marketing and renewals purposes.
  • Set up and maintain databases to record claims and service providers in line with corporate objectives and targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with extensive work experience in claims handling, Financial Lines, and/or Casualty experience.
  • Proven track record of providing consistently first-class customer service internally and/or externally.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships (internally/externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group.
  • Excellent communication skills and discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs.
  • Resilient and adaptable style, track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances, adjusting comfortably to changing conditions/priorities.
