They act as a bridge between the technical aspects of the platform and business needs, often working with technical teams and end-users.

The administrator oversees the entire lifecycle of Mendix applications, from development to deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

User Management:

  • Inviting new users, managing user roles and permissions
  • Setting up App Access Groups, ensuring appropriate access to applications and data

Application Deployment and Monitoring:

  • Deploying new applications, monitoring their performance, and managing the application lifecycle

Platform Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Configuring settings within the Mendix platform, managing Marketplace content, and ensuring the platform is running smoothly

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Addressing issues related to the platform and applications, working with users and technical teams to resolve problems

Security Management:

  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the platform and its data, including user authentication and authorization

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Working with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and end-users, to understand requirements and ensure the platform effectively supports business needs

Staying Updated:

  • Mendix Administrators keep up-to-date with the latest platform features, security updates, and best practices
