Job Summary

This role involves working with customers to design and deliver Next-Generation solutions. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with extensive knowledge of security threats, internet protocols, and applications.

  • Build custom security policies and application signatures for unique client environments.
  • Consult and guide customers on security best practices methodologies and act as a trusted advisor for clients.
  • Analyze logs and events from the solution and supply threat analysis reports, providing input and direction as applicable.

The position requires a strong understanding of firewall and IDS/IPS solutions in large environments, with experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto Networks products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

This is a technical, hands-on role that requires:

  • Conducting research on new features and technologies to optimize value delivery to customers.
  • Meeting with customer teams to design and thoroughly document complete projects.
  • Providing knowledge transfer of next-generation technologies to customers and other technical teams.
  • Ensuring the successful completion of large-scale customer projects.

The role entails travel (25-50%) for customer meetings and onsite deployments of customer engagements.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A 4-Year Engineering Degree / BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in document creation.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with firewall and IDS/IPS solutions in large environments.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto Networks products.
  • Extensive knowledge of various security threats.
  • A strong understanding of internet protocols and applications.
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to conduct design meetings.
